How long should dentures last?

It is difficult to predict a product life for false teeth as there are many factors that influence their durability. However, on average dentures should be replaced every five to seven years, to prevent the false teeth damaging your gums and/or natural teeth. We recommend that your denture should be regularly assessed checked by an appropriate registered dental care professional.

How much do dentures cost?

Dentures have to be tailor made for each individual patient – no two dentures wearers are ever the same, therefore the costs do vary. During the consultation you will be offered a variety of material choices in order to find the best denture to suit your budget and your needs.

How long will it take?

Under normal circumstances from initial consultation to a final fit where the patient is happy with their denture it takes between three and four weeks, however, Melbourne Dental will only consider treatment complete once all the patient’s needs have been addressed.

Can you do home visits? 

Melbourne Dental do offer a premium home visit service within the local area, if you fall out of this catchment, Melbourne Dental may be able to refer you to an alternative Clinical Dental Technician or advise on an appropriate course of action for your specific requirements.
